Gay Sex Bandana Code
The Bandana or hanky code was a way that gay guys could communicate their preferences with other guys in busy gay bars. It was an easy way to start conversations and to show interest. These days it isn’t a commonly used with the code being less known than it was years ago.
The code worked by displaying the bandana in the back right (meaning Bottom/Passive) or left (meaning Top/Active) pocket. To wear them tucked underneath your belt in the middle means to be versatile. They could also be worn around the ankle, wrist or neck on the appropriate side.
